Are you a fan of modern forum software?

What I mean by modern forum software are the software that has nested comments rather than threaded like phpBB does. Discourse, NodeBB, and Flarum are a few that come to mind. Even Reddit could count though honestly they all feel a bit like old message boards to me. Anyways do you enjoy using forums that are powered by modern platforms or do you prefer threaded forums like Xenforo, phpBB, etc? I personally prefer the threaded ones but I don't mind using the modern ones. Discourse and NodeBB can be difficult to install if you're not familiar with Linux since they can only be hosted on a VPS. Flarum can be uploaded to shared hosting so if you wanted to try it out, you'd just need to upload the files to your server.

Threaded ones because that's what I'm used to.

I enjoy threaded forums the most, it's what I grew up on and just enjoy using.

I don't like threaded forums, but to each their own. It's a subjective thing.
